There are so many issues here, but the main one to my mind is the acceptance of the narrative — if you over consume, you can fix it later. Sounds like our country’s mantra! Destroy now, fix later! I’m so pissed off. I am going to drink my third cup of coffee, put on my child-labor-produced clothing and turn on all the lights now.
